Title: What is Cyber Security Anyway??

Speaker: Catriona Watson

Abstract:

Really, what do people mean when they talk about 'cyber'? The talk will examine this and other questions in a way that is non-technical – the speaker comes from a training not technical background! The seminar will focus particularly on:

  • What the issues are globally.
  • Who should be concerned, why, and what they can do about it.
  • Who has been behind the big cyber breaches? For what purpose? What has been the effect of those breaches?
  • What are the Japanese government and private sector doing on this?

Most importantly, the seminar will give you guidance on what you need to know and consider in terms of your work.
