- Description: Spring 2019 J>E eJuku session
- Language direction: Japanese to English
- Format: online forum discussion and videoconferencing
- Period: mid-February through end of March 2019 (see below for details)
- Fees: no fees
- Eligibility:
  1. JAT membership (non-members required to join JAT after being selected as eJuku participants)
  2. Native or near-native English proficiency
  3. No more than a couple of years' experience as a professional translator
  4. High motivation to learn and pledge to participate actively in the planned videoconferences and forum discussions

Early February: Call for Participants (see below) sent to inquirers
Mid-February:   Call closed
In due course:  Screening done
Upon screening: Applicants notified of results
                        Detailed instructions sent to Participants
Mar 08, Fri: Translation submission deadline
Mar 09, Sat: 1st Videoconference
             2-week forum discussion
Mar 23, Sat: 2nd videoconference
             1-week forum discussion
Mar 30, Sat: Forum closed but accessible for some time

We are currently preparing a Call for Participation, which will contain all necessary information, including the source text, for you to make a decision to apply. We will send you a copy of the Call upon request after it becomes available.
