Technical translation. Trados specialist.
I am a lecturer in Translation and Interpreting Studies at Monash University. I am also a NAATI (Australian National accreditation) accredited translator and interpreter. I started my career as a technical writer at Sony, after which I taught Japanese at Australian Universities for ten years. I have also been a manager at a technical translation company. In the translation domain, I specialize in technical translation, mainly in computer manuals. I use Computer Aided Translation (CAT), and have conducted seminars on this software. In 2008 I taught Trados in the Technology and Translation unit, offered at the Masters level at Monash University. In interpreting, I mainly do business interpreting, and some conference interpreting.
