バックグラウンド

A finalist in the 2020 JLPP International Translation Competition and one of a small number of non-Japanese to be admitted as a gyoseishoshi lawyer, Tobias spent several years translating for major law firms before establishing his own practice in 2013.

Tobias has served as lead interpreter in several depositions taken at US diplomatic posts, and has interpreted at the Tokyo District Court and for various Japanese and international government agencies.

Tobias holds a Master of Arts in Japanese Interpreting and Translation from the University of Queensland and is certified by the National Accreditation Association for Translators and Interpreters. He is also a graduate of Simul Academy.
