Native ability in English and Japanese, having been raised and schooled evenly in Japan and the U.S. Completed translation courses at Tokyo's Simul Academy, later teaching other classes there. Former editor/writer at The Japan Times. Completed Court Interpretation Techniques course at UCLA Extensions. Business, legal, journalistic, TV/video game script and other translations. Bachelor's degree in English literature from Sophia University in Tokyo. Mostly Japanese to English translations, also English to Japanese editing. Certified by the American Translators Association to translate from Japanese into English, Certification Exam Grader since 2008, Language Chair since 2019.
