バックグラウンド

​Before working as an freelance translator, Carole Sugiyama has built my communications career at the PR agency as well as the corporate communications department at a global pharmaceutical company. Since 2017, I have become an independent E>J translator specializing in a range of industry including fashion, marketing and book translation. She has provided Japanese translations for non-fiction books by Oxford University Press and MIT Press, among others. She holds a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Theatre Arts from University of Oregon. PR代理店やグローバル製薬企業の広報部勤務などを通じてコミュニケーション分野でのキャリアを経験した後、翻訳者として活動。2017年よりフリーランス英日翻訳家として独立し、ファッション・食・マーケティング・出版翻訳など幅広い分野の翻訳を手がける。また、オックスフォード大学出版やMIT大学出版の書籍を翻訳した経験も持つ。米国オレゴン州立オレゴン大学舞台芸術学科卒業。
