Medical and pharmaceutical translations. Translating since 1987, specializing in medicine since 1995. BA, Japanese Language and Literature, 1989. ATA accredited J-E, 1990. Lived in Japan for >10 years. Currently residing in Japan (since 2015). Self-sponsored Japanese work visa from May 2015 to present obtained based on service contract with Japanese translation agency. Good working relationships with over 50 agencies and clients. Activities: ATA Japanese to English accreditation program: Grader, 1996-present; J-E Language Chair, 1998-2003, 2008-present. Japan Association of Translators (JAT) Translation Contest Judge: 2004-2023. ATA Japanese Language Division (JLD) Secretary/Treasurer, 1993-1995. JLD Asst. Administrator, 2000-2003. JLD Administrator, 2004-2005.
