Background

I am a bilingual leader with nearly 20 years of professional translation, interpreting, and technology experience in Japan and 5 years in the UK, where I’ve been actively involved in the Japanese community at a grassroots level through Anglo-Daiwa’s Japanese classes, the British Sake Association, and the Bristol Japan Cultural Society.
Through my work at Queen & Co., I have built scalable, cross-cultural, and technology initiatives that connect Japanese businesses, institutions, and creative industries with the world outside Japan. Strong advocate for cross-border collaboration, cultural and business development, with a focus on entrepreneurship, language and culture, the arts, and technology. Notably, I led the digital transformation of a luxury rental car company in Japan, growing its ARR by a multiple of 15x through system optimizations.
Additionally, I have a long history of involvement in—and a passion—for education at every level, having lectured in the U.S. before joining the JET Programme and being involved in continuing education in both Japan and the UK. I have been invited as a speaker at international conferences on language, technology, and cross-cultural communication.
