Background

Engaged in export/import/accounting operations in a foreign exchange bank and teaching/ translation/ interpreting (E to J/J to E) jobs in a musical instruments company, a construction company, a Canada-based computer software company, and a semi-public company as in-house staff. Engaged in court or judiciary interpreting/ translation jobs at public institutions and at home by contract. More than twenty-year work experience. Education: Ph.D. Candidate. MA in Language and Culture, Graduate School of Language and Culture, Osaka University. BA in economics, Hokkaido University. Business interpreting course at Inter-School Osaka. Received a short-term subsidy 2011 from the America-Japan Society, Inc. supported by the Embassy of the United States, Tokyo, Japan to do research in Washington DC on relation history between the United States and Japan. Did research on relation history between the United States and Japan at the Department of Modern and Classical Languages, Georgia State University in the United States as a visiting scholar together with translation and interpreting having received a short-term subsidy 2012 from Osaka University.
