Background

Between 1996 and 2009, I worked for web design, software and event promotion companies handling translation, interpreting and English web content. In 2009, I became a freelance translator, writer and copywriter, and interpreter, specializing in TV and promotional video subtitles and scripts, press releases, business and PR materials, websites, and tourist materials. Since 2010 I have worked with NHK World-Japan as English script advisor and transcreator on “Core Kyoto”, “Train Cruise”, “Samurai Castles” and various documentaries.

1996年から2009年まで、インターネット会社、ソフトウェア会社、イベント企画会社で、日英のホームページの制作全般をはじめ、プレゼン・販促資料の作成、英語のマニュアルの翻訳・制作など、幅広い分野でスペシャリストとして業務に従事。2009年からフリーランスとして、ビジネスや観光の様々な分野で日英両方で高いコミュニケーション能力を発揮し、活躍しています。さらに、 2010年以降は、NHK国際放送で、英語台本監修・翻訳者として活躍し、「Core Kyoto」をはじめ、「Train Cruise」、「Samurai Castles」、様々な特番などに関わっています。
