Background
After several years experience in commercial translation I have recently branched out into subtitling and am looking forward to gaining further professional experience. Meanwhile, I also work with literary translation and have so far had one translation of a short story published in the Kuroda Press volume Vampiric: Blood and Roses from Japan. Aside from translation, I also work as a freelance film writer specialising in East Asian cinema. In addition to editing the website Windows on Worlds, my work can also be found on outlets such as BFI Online and Senses of Cinema while I've also penned liner notes for Arrow, Radiance, and Chameleon Films.
