Background

Raised in central New York state. BA in Japanese from Carleton College in Minnesota. MA in Communication from the Annenberg School at the University of Pennsylvania. MBA from the University of Hawaii. In addition to freelance translation, I have also worked in a number of organizations involved in hosting or bidding for international sporting events such as the Olympic Games, positions that entailed substantial consecutive interpreting, translation, writing and editing work in addition to liaison responsibilities. Have lived in Japan for the better part of the last 30 years.
