They say that nothing is certain but death and taxes. Are we so sure about taxes?
Are you a translator or otherwise self-employed, and do you have questions about how to maximize your expenses and lower your taxable income? Are you ever in doubt about the right tax procedures? If so, we have a meeting planned especially for you.

On November 1st, 2014, The Japan Association of Translators Tohoku Regional Activities Committee ("TRAC") will welcome business consultant and certified tax accountant (zeirishi) Seiko Mito from Tokyo to discuss “Tax Strategies for Freelancers and the Self-employed.” Starting with an overview of the tax framework for individuals, Ms. Mito will also explore detailed topics in line with attendee interest. We welcome any and all with questions for Ms. Mito to submit your questions to us in advance via e-mail.
.
Seiko Mito (http://www.l-pros.net/) runs her own tax accounting and financial consulting office in central Tokyo. In addition to advising individual entrepreneurs and startup companies on tax matters, she provides new business planning and business continuity planning support.

*This meeting will be held in Japanese.
*There will be refreshments at the event, and a networking dinner will be held afterward.
