Currently employed as an Associate Professor of Medical English at the Joint Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Kagoshima University (2018- ). Co-chair of the veterinary special interest group of the European Medical Writers Association. Previously, 7 years as a freelance biomedical translator and medical writer. 11 years as translator and medical editor at a Japanese non-clinical CRO Background in IT before cominh to Japan
