Background

BA in Modern Chinese with Japanese from the University of Durham, U.K. (Double First with a Distinction). MA in History, National Taiwan University. Japanese Language Proficiency Certificate (Level 1). Have worked as an in-house translator (Chinese-English and Japanese-English) and editor for a major Taiwanese translation agency since 1996. Started doing Japanese-English translation work (and occasional Chinese-English translation) for translation agencies in Japan on a regular basis as a freelancer in 2007. Recipient of the "Translator of the Year 2007" and "Translator of the Year 2008" Awards from ARC Communications Inc. (Tokyo).
