Background

2017年３月に出版翻訳を開始して８年目に入りました。これまでドイツ語のエンタメ小説（SF、ミステリー）を20冊以上、ドイツ語・英語（一部フランス語）のナチスやワイマール共和国時代がテーマの漫画・グラフィックノベルを３冊訳してきました。
訳については取引先から「日本語が安定している」「セリフにリアリティがある」「ほとんどと言っていいほど手がかからない」と評価されています。592ページの歴史大作グラフィックノベル『ベルリン 1928-1933ー黄金の20年代からナチス政権の誕生まで』（ジェイソン・リューツ著、パンローリング、2022）の翻訳では、作家の池澤夏樹様に「鵜田良江の翻訳は完璧。」との言葉をいただきました。

As an excellent native Japanese speaker, I specialize in translating fictional novels and comic books. This January, I began trying to expand my expertise to include visual media.

Nature Observation and Language Learning

Observing nature gives me a convenient way to refresh during busy work days. Additionally, learning languages brings me great pleasure. I am currently studying Arabic, Hebrew and Russian, and am eager to learn more languages. Exploring a variety of languages has taught me a lot about different cultures. Furthermore, I find it fascinating how the same thought processes can be expressed in various languages using similar or different systems. This passion drives my commitment to translation.
