What is Gather?
Gather is a virtual, sprite-based networking platform, no need to share your webcam, for small groups to come together and socialise.
Many of us work from various places around the world, with many of us working from home.
As such, we rarely get the opportunity to catch up with others “around the water cooler” for those much needed social interactions.
JATENT Gather is a casual place to catch up with friends, colleagues, and like-minded people. It is a place to share tips, stories, and insights, and ultimately to foster community. The meetings will not be recorded.
The event is open to any JAT member, whether they be an established translator, new to the field, or still a student. There’s always something we can learn from one another!
How Do I Join?
This event is limited to JAT members only. You will need to log in to your JAT account before you can register for a ticket on this page. On the day, there is no need to create an account on Gather: just click on the link and enter the password we email out to you, enter your name, and create a simple sprite-based avatar, and you’re in!
Spots are limited to 9 participants at a time.
If more than 9 people apply, JATENT will hold a random selection one week before the event.
We will send an email notifying you whether you were successful or not.
If you are no longer able to attend, please notify JATENT ([email protected]) at least two days before the event so we can issue your spot to somebody else.
