Caroline Pover started her adventures in publishing with the magazine “Being A Broad,” and before long had established her own company Alexandra Press. Her first book, *Being A Broad in Japan: Everything a Western Woman
Needs to Thrive and Survive*, was released in 2001: it quickly became a bestseller, and still strikes a chord with foreign women today. Since then she has published a number of books, from the *Guide to International Schools in Japan *to the popular *Ask Caroline*. Her most recent book, just published in both English and Japanese editions, is *Love with a Western Woman: A Guide for Japanese Men*. Caroline is a prolific writer and speaker.

Her talk will cover all the steps in an independent publishing project, with special emphasis on production and distribution (including marketing) of paper and digital editions. She has been there. She has done that. You can too. Come and find out how.
