An Indispensable Seminar for SME* Owners on Implement “My Number” Measures

Abstract:
Japan’s My Number System (Social Security and Tax Identification Number System assigning Japan’s residents an “Individual Number”) is now in full force, yet many have little understanding of how the system works. Questions I often hear include: What should we be doing? and How does it affect my situation? Yet the most common is: “I don’t even know whom to ask about it.” I hope to provide the answers in this seminar on My Number.
Like it or not, this is no time to bury your head in the sand. All business entities – from corporations to individual businesses, including freelance translators – are responsible for My Number paperwork and constraints associated with the acquisition and management of My Numbers; they are subject to heavy penalties, including criminal punishment, if they leak personal information.
Expected repercussions notwithstanding, most business operators either seem unaware of the need for urgent response or have been slow to implement concrete preparations.
I will begin by clarifying requirements and deadlines. Although the penalties are severe, they are easily avoided with appropriate action. I will also provide some useful hints applicable to various specific situations. Finally, I will speak in depth about actual situations I have learned about in seminars and consultations.

3. Applying for social insurance to satisfy My Number system requirements
Profile:
Haruo Ito is a specially licensed social insurance consultant and organization solution partner. He focuses on the human aspect of small- and medium-sized enterprises, working to increase business performance through enhanced organizational productivity.

Koryukai (casual get-together):
To attend the Koryukai you must pay online in advance or at the reception desk during the seminar. Those who have not paid for the Koryukai by the end of the breaktime (around 3:30pm), will not be able to join.
Please note that if you register online for a FREE ticket but do not attend and pay the fee on the day of the event, you will be charged at a later date. Registration/cancellation closes at noon on January 19.
