Lecturer: Mr. Mitsuhiko Nakamoto

Title:
"Comparison of the Lawyer's Perspectives vs. Translator's Perspectives in Drafting/Translating License Agreements"

Contents of the Seminar:
1. Brief lecture about the basic terms of a license agreement.
2. Discussions about how to reflect client's intentions in a term sheet (including its translation).
3. Comparison of the lawyer's perspectives vs. translator's perspectives.

Lecturer Bio:
Mitsuhiko spent his childhood in Mexico and Spain and:
Passed the Japanese bar exam in 2001;
Studied at Kellogg School of Management and Northwestern School of Law from 2005;
Worked at Mizuho Corporate Bank, U.S.A. from 2006;
Passed the N.Y. bar exam in 2007;
Became the representative of Nakamoto & Nakamoto in 2014;
Founded a company (mibot Inc.) which develops a contract drafting/reviewing AI in 2016;
Published a book "International Contracts U.S.-Japan Transactions (Vol. 1 Sales Contract)" in 2018; and
Published a book (co-author) “License Agreement Manual (3rd Edition)” in 2019.
