This workshop focuses on helping translators and medical writers present Japanese medical and pharmaceutical research clearly, understandably, and cost-effectively to the rest of the world.

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS:
Before beginning Tom Lang Communications and Training International, Tom managed medical editing services at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation and was a senior scientific writer at New England Cochrane Center, Tufts University School of Medicine. He is past president of the Council of Science Editors, and earned the Golden Apple award as an outstanding workshop leader from the American Medical Writers Association. He is the author of How to Report Statistics in Medicine (わかりやすい医学統計の報告-医学論文作成のためのガイドライン) and
How to Write, Publish, & Present in the Health Sciences (トム・ラングの医学論文「執筆・出版・発表」実践ガイド).
Lee Seaman owns Seaman Medical, a small translation and editing firm focusing on pharmaceutical regulatory translation and editing for Japanese clients. She has translated or co-translated numerous medical books and articles for publication, including a 4-part series on bioincompatible kidney transplantation by Kota Tahakashi, MD, and served as the managing editor of the JAT PHARMA Handbook. She is a frequent JAT and IJET presenter, and a member of the JATPHARMA Steering Committee.
