The Qualified Invoice System will start from October 1, 2023.
Although the date of implementation is quickly approaching, some of you may still feel like you don’t have a good understanding of the new system or are insufficiently prepared. JAT will be holding an online seminar to provide freelance translators and interpreters with an overview of the new system and answer some of their questions and concerns.

“Am I still allowed to charge JCT (Japanese consumption tax) even if I don’t register as an eligible billing provider?”; “How will my bookkeeping practices change if I register for this system?”; “Can I claim a JCT refund if I am working with overseas clients?” Join the seminar to get clarification on these questions and more.

Note: this seminar will be conducted in Japanese. However, there’s a simultaneous interpreting.

The seminar will be held online via Zoom webinar.

The new Qualified Invoice System (QIS) will start on October 1st, 2023. To help you find right information and get clarification on the new QIS, we’ve prepared a questionnaire to call for questions and our tax accountant will answer those questions in the webinar. Use the following link to send us questions:

Note: answers collected through the questionnaire will be presented in statistical form in the webinar and on JAT website. The question #9 (other, specific questions) closed as of September 8th. Thank you for your participation.
