NPO JAT Archive

The Japan Association of Translators (JAT) was authorized as a non-profit organization (NPO) by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) under the Japanese NPO Act on March 27, 2001, and was officially registered at the Tokyo Legal Affairs Bureau (Shibuya Office) on April 6 the same year. The Act requires NPOs to prepare the following documents from the previous fiscal year, submit them to the relevant government office (TMG in the case of JAT), and retain copies at the office for five years.

  • Business report
  • Financial statements
  • Balance sheet (and List of assets)
  • List of directors and auditors
  • List of at least ten member names

The above documents, annual general meeting minutes, and business and plans for the current fiscal year are provided below (most of them in Japanese only)
