Background

I am a freelance translator and editor with experience in a variety of fields, including electrical engineering, government publications, business reports and speeches, patents, and video games. In my previous job working as an in-house translator, I was involved in all stages of the translation and DTP process. My main focus was electronics and measuring instruments, but I also gained experience in a variety of other fields, including music, optics, and programming. I have been a freelance translator since 2010. I worked as a technical translator at MediaEFX in Hamamatsu city from 2007 to 2010 and as a Coordinator for International Relations in Kirishima City from 2004 to 2007. I passed the 2005 Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 1. I was an essay grader for the University of California Irvine Writing Project from 2001 to 2003.
