Born in Utah and raised in Sapporo, Japan since 18 months, I have completed my university studies in Japan at International Christian University (ICU) in International Relations and Human Rights Studies. I earned my first MA from Alice-Salomon University in Berlin, Germany in Intercultural Conflict Management. I also have an MA from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS) in Japanese Conference Interpretation. I reside in the US but take assignments internationally as well when situations permit. Currently serving as the 2019-2021 administrator of the Japanese Language Division (JLD) of the American Translators Association (ATA), I am also a contract interpreter with the United States Department of State.
